The Origin of GutinTube
The idea for GutinTube was born in 2019 during a casual conversation with a friend about that viral meme: "We don't want futuristic tech—just let YouTube play in the background!". When I confidently said I could build this, my friend doubted it was possible. Challenge accepted. That summer, I began developing the app as a personal challenge. By December, I shared a working version with my social circle on Facebook, it became a fun side project that actually worked.
A Short-Lived Victory
Google Play quickly flagged GutinTube for bypassing YouTube's restrictions (background play being a Premium feature). While I respected their policies and discontinued development, the real win was undeniable: the satisfaction of proving "I told you so" to my friend.
